Well now it’s over. The food is put up, and I’m debating on putting up my Christmas decorations. I really thought today was going to be hard. And it was. But at the same time, I think my Dad made SURE that our family came together today. We laughed, we cried, we remembered. It was a great day. Not perfect. Cause it would’ve only been perfect if my dad and Uncle Chris would’ve been there. But in a way, they were. I can’t believe my dad’s been gone since July. I still remember his face so vividly. I remember is voice. I remember his laughter. But thanksgiving is not about food. It’s not about sale papers for Black Friday. It’s not about putting up your Christmas tree. It’s about THANKS. And I’m so thankful for my family. Days like today I realize how much I have to be HAPPY about. My dad is gone. He’s not coming home. While I don’t want to believe it, it’s true. BUT he’s in a much better place. He’s healthy, he’s happy. And I will see him again. Until then, I am going to try to live happier. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Enjoy my life and my family. Today reminded me how important it is to LIVE. And live right. And be grateful.
So right now, I’m totally high on Mr. Goodbars. I know, not on my diet. But they’re mini’s. And it’s 1 a.m. so TECHNICALLY it’s Thanksgiving. And my diet goes away on that day Anyways, back to the point of this post. I love taking pictures of so many gorgeous people! Is there anything out there more AWESOME. Nope.
Meet Kris, Dawn, Kayla, Sam and Blake Quibodeaux. My buds.
Can you say BOW CHICKA BOW WAW
The kids weren’t really feelin it today, so basically it was just a shoot for mom and dad. Which, in my opinion, was WAYYYY overdue
This shot was Kris’s idea. He set it up and even brought the gun!
Isn’t she a bad a**!!!
I’m seriously in LOVE with this one! I think she looks HOT!
My absolutly favorite!
This action I used on the picture below of from the new Totally Rad set. It’s called Homestead. Can’t use it often, cause sometimes it makes the picture look kinda weird. But i KNEW I had to use it here! Loooove it.
Ok, maybe this one is my favorite. Ok, so it’s a tie.
Once again, I had a great time with you Dawn. Even though I have mosquito bites ALL OVER MY BODY!!! I’d do it all over again Hope you love your pictures!
Oh yea and HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone! Remember to give thanks for all that you have. Thanksgiving is NOT about turkey. That’s just an added plus. Stop and remember your loved ones. Give thanks for all the things you have. And the people that love you. And remember our soldiers tomorrow. The ones that gave their lives, and the ones that are over there right now fighting for YOU.
And after that, then you can GOBBLE TILL YOU WOBBLE!
Meet Cody and Erin. They are the sweetest people!! Totally ready for a good time, and NOT into those traditional ol boring pictures! I called Erin up at the last minute and asked her if her and Cody had a dog. I didn’t even ask what kind, just said “bring him!”. I was so anxious and surprised when they showed up with Beamer. We became fast friends and I think he had the most fun out of all of us!
This is them getting “warmed up” to the camera. I must say, they warm up nicely
I don’t know what that pink line is across this picture. It’s not in the original, but oh well. I had to show what a fuuuun goofball Erin is! I think her and I will be great friends
Nice job Beamer!
Thanks guys for letting me share in your love. These are just a couple of my favorites from this super wonderfully fun session. Hope you guys come back to me for many many more special occasions 😉
Hey guys! I KNOOOOOOW I’m totally slacking in the blog department. Ya’ll don’t understand how BUSY this time of year is! I’ve got photo sessions coming out my ears!!!! I posted a couple sneak peaks from this session a little while back, but now I can’t postitivly pick my favorites. So you guys get to watch a video instead!!! Be sure you have your speakers on, cause it’s a great song This family is my favorite, and they will be on my sample albums!! Whoop whoop!
The greatest compliment a photographer can recieve is when another photographer asks you to shoot them! So when Kristin asked me to shoot her family, I was honored!!! She wanted some intimate pictures with her hubby. Cause we photographers know, it’s near impossible to get good pictures of yourself! We are so used to being on the opposite end of the camera
Aren’t they GORGEOUS!
Oh yea, had to put their booties on the blog. You know it!
This is my favorite from the day.
And I think Kristin looks FIERCE here.
And then things got a little crazy…
Candy please Ms. Jessica
She is saying CHEEEESE!!
I’m working on a couple things right now. Still finishing up those SECRET pictures. Don’t worry, I’ll let ya’ll see them soon Stay tuned.
I attended the most fun wedding Saturday night! This couple has been so sweet and AWESOME! I really just felt like apart of the wedding party! It was fun and every single bridesmaid was so cool! The guys weren’t too shaby either 😉
Stay tuned for more pics from this AWESOME wedding!!!
And then YESTERDAY, I had an amaaaazing family session. These three were so awesome and reminded me how much FUN my job is. And on top of that, they’re DALLAS COWBOY fans.. I mean come on, it doesn’t get much better then that!
And if you keep up with this blog, you know about the old big blue truck. You know that it met it’s death. Well I thought. The city moved it so they could start building houses. I personally think they just hid it from me! BUT, hahahahaha, I found it! Shows them. But anyways, that’s a whole other story. When we were shooting at our second location, Tiffany found this truck for me. It’s IDENTICAL to my big blue truck! I thought it was soooooo cool! So of course now he sits on my computer and reminds me of such a fun session!
Check back in a couple days for the full post from this session!!!
