I went up to Texas a couple weeks ago to help out my 9 month pregnant friend, Tara Swain. Girlfriend is crazy and was determined to be at this wedding to shoot! So me, and another photographer, backed her up. You know, in case she GAVE BIRTH while there!!!
As soon as I met Tara’s couple, Amanda and Bo, I knew EXACTLY why she was so determined to be a part of their day. They rock. From beginning to end. So much energy and love everywhere you looked!!!

Amanda is beautiful already, even before that white dress and makeup![]()

I love second shooting with my good friends. Gives me a chance to really capture the details. And boy were their DETAILS at this wedding!

The First Look. They had a crowd![]()

These types of pictures are really only possible if you choose to see each other before the wedding. I know it’s not “traditional”. But ask ANYONE that’s done it and they’ll tell you it’s the way to go.

Almost time!!

OK, so Amanda and Bo did a little something something that they didn’t tell ANYONE about. Even me and Tara. I was up in the balcony shooting their ceremony. As soon as they said I do…this song started playing. I KNEW I had heard it somewhere before. I knew right away what was coming, but being in the BALCONY, I didn’t have time to get downstairs to get any good photos. But Amanda and Bo, and their entire wedding party DANCED down the aisle! CLICK HERE to see the video of this being done. It was PRICELESS! I would have given ANYTHING to have my awesome Flip Video camera that my hubby got me for christmas.

Everyone was involved!!!

Ok, now that we’ve recovered from the awesomeness that was that video…on to the reception! The details were all Vintage Baseball Themed. You’ll see the menu on the bottom left picture below.

Sprinkles cupcakes. If you havn’t. YOU MUST NOW. They are heavenly.

Amanda and Bo shared one of the sweetest first dances I’ve ever seen.

But it didn’t last long! They busted out after about a minute with THIS!

And the second half of the mother/son dance was the CUPID SHUFFLE.

Which, by the way, was a HUGE hit!

Amanda and Bo didn’t do anything traditional….they didn’t have a cake. So when it was time to “cut the cake”, they “cut the sprinkles”.![]()

Which was also very awesome![]()

After ALOT of wild dancing and fun…it was time for the bouquet toss and the garter. I think these guys were a little anxious, don’t you???

Thank you guys for allowing me to be there with Tara on your special day. I enjoyed meeting you and your family!
